Increasing Regular Use of Oral Contraceptive Pills Among Rural Women

The Brief:

Regular use of oral contraceptive pills is low even among those women who are knowledgeable about its benefits and trust pills as an effective method of contraception

Situational Analysis:

Women forget to take the pills everyday – poses the major barrier to regular use

PRISM Approach:

Tie up oral pills with daily use women products, used around the same time. Tie up with bindi to enable women to be reminded of the pills every night while taking off the bindi.

Result:

Regular use of pills went up by 50% within a period of 3 months.
